Junior Achievement

Since 2014, we have been working with Junior Achievement Europe across eight locations. The aim of this programme is to encourage CDB-Group staff to help young people develop entrepreneurial and business skills which they would not have access to at school. Through coaching and mentoring, we help to equip our future workforce. We offer a range of in-house and external activities in which our staff can become involved, thereby also giving them the opportunity to build on their skills.

Since 2014, we've had over 638 CDB-Group volunteers taking part in our programmes reaching 20,386 students.

This academic year, the national winning team of Belgium mentored by CDB-Group will participate in the European Company Year of the Competition in Belgrade with their company, My Chill Factory. This unique opportunity will allow the students to meet other talented students from all over Europe and present their business cases to the international jury. My Chill Factory produces a relaxation pack to encourage relaxation after a busy day. The pack includes a homemade hot dry-bag, a bio local soap, tea blends with an infuser, and a scented candle.

Quote from one of the teachers

"Positive attitude of the students to this type of classes is expressed in their request for organizing such lessons in the future. They give students a sense of combining theory and practice, and this is an important element in teaching. I highly appreciate the substantive knowledge of the volunteers, as well as the preparation of materials for lessons. I believe that representatives of the business world should support schools in the implementation of their tasks to a much greater extent".
